SUNNY ISLES, Fla., July 25, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Bespoke Extracts, Inc. (OTCQB:BSPK), producer of high quality, great tasting, hemp-derived CBD extract products, is pleased to announce its support of Make A Difference Foundation (MADF) and its efforts to equip Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS) with commercial blanket warmers for the benefit of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.  Bespoke Extracts has donated the funds necessary for MADF to purchase and install a large blanket warming system at FCS’ clinical facility in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Make A Difference Foundation, founded and led by philanthropists Dave and Bobbi Norris, is a non-profit organization committed to providing critically needed commercial blanket warms to FCS, the largest independent medical oncology/hematology practice in the United States operating 90 cancer centers in the state of Florida and administering over one million patient visits each year.

It is not unusual for patients undergoing chemotherapy to experience feeling excessively and painfully cold during and following treatment. This ‘freezing’ is believed to be a side effect of treatment lowering the body’s white blood cell count.  Platelets are one of the three kinds of blood cells that circulate oxygen throughout the human body.  If there are not enough of them, the body doesn’t get enough oxygen, which means anemia can develop, causing a patient to feel cold, among other side effects.  Loss of weight and iron deficiency which may result from chemo can also contribute to the body’s inability to generate heat.

Yesterday, FCS hosted a formal dedication ceremony at its West Palm Beach clinic at which MADF founders and Bespoke Extracts’ CEO Marc Yahr were honored and thanked for the donated equipment.

Dave Norris, Co-founder of MADF, stated, “We are delighted to welcome Bespoke Extracts to MADF’s growing community of corporate donors who recognize the importance of providing essential warmth and comfort to cancer patients while they are receiving treatment.  It is through our donors’ generous financial support that MADF will ultimately succeed in outfitting all FCS treatment centers with blanket warmers.”

“There are very few people, if any, who do not have a family member, friend or business colleague who is currently facing or has already battled cancer in the past.  Just this year, it is estimated that over 1.7 million new cases of the disease will be diagnosed in the United States alone,” added Yahr.  “Given that one of our Company’s core tenets is ‘being good by doing good,’ we are committed to supporting important social movements and causes that help to improve the lives of people who live and work in our local communities.  Everyone at Bespoke Extracts takes tremendous pride in helping MADF to make a difference.”
