SuckerPunch Entertainment’s Max Holloway Retains World Featherweight Title!

NEW YORK–AMMA, (BUSINESS WIRE)– Alliance MMA, Inc. (“Alliance MMA” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ:AMMA), the only publicly-traded professional mixed martial arts (MMA) company that unifies elite regional promotions and aspiring MMA champions, announced today that Sucker Punch Entertainment client Max “Blessed” Holloway successfully defended his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) World Featherweight Title against Jose Aldo Saturday night at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. Showcased as the main event of the December 2nd UFC 218 pay-per-view broadcast, Holloway proved victorious in devastating fashion by delivering a third-round technical knockout (TKO) to Aldo, himself a former UFC Champion. This most recent success marks the twelfth straight win for Holloway, and his second victory over Aldo.

Following Saturday’s bout, during a UFC press conference interview, UFC President Dana White commented “that he saw something noticeable in Holloway.” “Incredible,” said White, “the way he fought tonight, the way he walked him down, the way he tried to break him mentally and physically was incredible. He looked like an amazing champ tonight – what a performance!”

Acquired by Alliance MMA in January of this year, SuckerPunch Entertainment is one of the top fighter management firms in all of MMA, and currently boasts a roster of nearly 150 fighters, many of whom compete at the highest level of competition in the UFC and other nationally-based promotions. “Everyone at Alliance MMA is ecstatic over Max’s impressive performance Saturday night,” said Paul K. Danner, Chief Executive Officer of Alliance MMA. “As we have continually indicated, our strategic imperative is to showcase the best possible regional MMA talent so that they might eventually compete at the highest level, like Max Holloway and others. As a fighter management entity, SuckerPunch is an integral component of our long-term plan, providing sage guidance and seasoned expertise for the benefit of those fighters under contract. Brian Butler-Au and the SuckerPunch team truly represent their clients with uncommon passion and enduring commitment, constantly striving to provide them with the most career-enhancing opportunities available.”

Alliance Continues to Penetrate Major Media Markets

Besides SuckerPunch Entertainment, and CageTix, the Company’s electronic ticketing platform, Alliance MMA currently operates in 13 of the top 30 Nielsen Designated Market Areas (DMA), including each of the top five. With the goal of unifying elite regional promotions and fostering the development of aspiring MMA champions, the Company produces professional MMA events through New Jersey-based Cage Fury Fighting Championship, Washington-based Combat Games MMA, Indiana-based Hoosier Fight Club, Tennessee-based V3Fights, Maryland-based Shogun Fights, Ohio-based Iron Tiger Fight Series, Florida-based Fight Time Promotions, Georgia-based National Fighting Championship, Southern California-based SoCa Fights, and Nebraska-based Victory Fighting Championship.
