RICHARDSON, TX, OPXS, –(Marketwired – July 10, 2017) – Optex Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Optex Systems Holdings, Inc. (OTCQB: OPXS), a leading manufacturer of precision optical sighting systems for domestic and worldwide military and commercial applications, announced today it has been awarded a five year Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity contract through DLA Land at Aberdeen. The Laser Interference Filter Assemblies will be manufactured at the Applied Optics Center (AOC) Division of Optex Systems, Inc.

The contract is expected to generate between $8.4 and $12.4 million in revenue over the next five year period for Optex Systems. Bill Bates, GM of AOC, stated, “This is a major accomplishment for Optex and AOC and comes as the result of a team effort in working to provide the U.S. Government with all of the necessary information requested as part of this solicitation and award process. We are extremely grateful to have been selected as the sole awardee and look forward to providing our war fighters the best quality products and protection that industry can provide.” The award followed approximately two years of submittals beginning with an initial request for information from the U.S. Government to the final proposal and negotiations.

AOC is a key supplier of technically challenging thin-film coatings, optical components, assemblies and systems.
