AIRPORT CITY, Israel, March 20, 2017, MYSZ, /PRNewswire/ —
MySize Inc. (the “Company”) (NASDAQ: MYSZ; TASE: MYSZ), developer of proprietary, smartphone measurement applications, announced today progress in the development of its MySizeID measurement application for on-line apparel shopping. The Company is pleased to report that the first test application of the MySizeID application is ready for demonstration and initial trialing by parties pre-selected by MySize Inc.
The application is designed to use a person’s body measurements to help determine correct apparel sizes when shopping on-line. To begin, the app measures the hip breadth, and uses statistical, mathematical algorithms to recommend the most appropriate size trousers.
The app is the result of a research and development effort that combines:
- Anthropometric research – analyses of information pertaining to body measurements derived from a survey and the subsequent determination of correlations between body parts.
- Body measurement algorithm research – an algorithm created by MySize Inc. to measure body parts.
- Retailers size chart analyses – adopting a deep understanding of the size charts of retailers and the corresponding “body to garment size”.
“MySizeID is our next generation measurement application for on-line clothes shopping. With TrueSize, the right size clothing at a store is recommended based on the measurements of clothes from the customer’s own closet. MySizeID takes it one step further, by using an alternative benchmark. It accurately measures a person’s body, in spite of natural movement and other factors challenging to recording precise calculations. Simply put the smart phone on one side of your hip. Move it to the other hip and then back again. The application does the rest,” said MySize CEO Ronen Luzon.
He continued, “With MySize ID customers can exhale knowing they no longer need to fuss with a measuring tape. In addition, it is important to note, that unlike other measurement applications, MySize products do not rely on smartphone cameras. This was a conscious development choice from the beginning in order to ensure customer privacy.”
