Memphis, TN, June 12, 2017 VNUE, (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — RockHouse Live Memphis, the Mid-South’s premier boutique live music venue, restaurant and bar, and Scott Stapp, the voice of CREED, have announced that the acclaimed vocalist will be performing a super intimate acoustic performance at the venue on June 20th. 2017.  The full band lineup also includes former Guns-n-Roses guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal.  This will be the first time in almost 20 years that Stapp has performed in Memphis.

Opening for Scott and his band are Canadian act Art of Dying, and vocalist Jeremy and his brother Justin, of the American Christian rock band Willet.  All will be doing acoustic sets.

In addition to the performance, VNUE (OTC: VNUE), in conjunction with its strategic partner DiscLive, announced that they are teaming up with Scott to give fans unrivaled access to him through “instant recordings” on his upcoming show – meaning fans can literally walk out of the concert with what they just heard!

DiscLive, known as the pioneer in the space of “instant” recording, will offer fans the chance to purchase that night’s show on a limited edition, individually numbered collectors’ double CD set they can take home that night.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each of the $25 DiscLive recordings will benefit ChildFund International.  ChildFund helps deprived, excluded and vulnerable children have the capacity to improve their lives and the opportunity to become young adults, parents and leaders who bring lasting and positive change in their communities.

Memphis-based music and technology entrepreneur Zach Bair, owner of RockHouse Live Memphis, and also CEO of VNUE and DiscLive, said, “We are very excited to be working with Scott and giving Memphis fans a chance to see this platinum selling artist up close and personal, as he celebrates the 20 year anniversary of Creed’s My Own Prison.  This intimate acoustic performance will capture the raw power and emotion of this incredible music, and not only that, the fans will be able to walk out with a fully mixed and mastered recording of what they just experienced.”

Bair added that RockHouse Live is by far the most intimate venue on the tour, and fans will have unrivaled access to the artist through a VIP meet-and-greet as well as a room where “every seat in the house is amazing.”

Scott Stapp previously said, “I’m excited to partner with DiscLive and VNUE for my Live And Unplugged Tour. I think it’s special that fans and concert goers can take home a high quality live recording of the show they just experienced.”

Stapp’s tour kicked off May 11th in Mobile, AL, and wraps June 20th with his performance at RockHouse Live.  Tickets for the RockHouse Live show, including the option to purchase a CD set, are available at www.rockhouselive.com.  VIP Meet-and-Greet “add on” is available at www.scottstapp.com.  If fans wish to purchase the CD set alone, or cannot make they show, they may do so from www.disclivenetwork.com.

About Scott Stapp (www.scottstapp.com)
Scott Stapp’s artistic and personal journey have encompassed all the talent and torment imaginable in scaling to musical success. The founding member of Creed chronicled his questions, his quest for answers, and his dreams from faith to fatherhood in chart topping hits, “My Own Prison,” “Higher,” and “With Arms Wide Open,” which dominated the sonic landscape of the 90s-2000s. His soul-piercing lyrics backed by thundering rock riffs garnered a Grammy award, and countless other accolades of creativity and chart domination, not to mention legions of fans, who felt a kindred spirit in his honesty.  Creed has sold over 40 million albums.

Creed toured extensively through its reign atop rock music, but for Scott, the musical machinery to keep the show going meant some terrible personal cost, as he sunk into depths of depression, and periods of erratic behavior that was later to be revealed as undiagnosed bipolar disorder, prompting self-medication that turned to addictive behaviors. His creativity, passion, and desire to be transparent in his struggle never waned, and were evident on his debut solo album, The Great Divide (2005), the Full Circle album from a “rebirthed” Creed in 2009, several tours, his starkly revealing memoir, Sinner’s Creed (2012), and his highly-acclaimed second solo album, Proof of Life, in 2013, which brought Scott’s first number one song on the Christian charts.

Scott’s spiral with addiction and bipolar disorder proved to be the most harrowing chapter of his life. With the love and support of his family, acceptance of his diagnosis, proper combinations of treatment and therapy, and a balanced, healthy lifestyle, grounded in faith, he has come through to the other side. He has a fresh purpose in performing, writing, and singing, to bring hope to “even one person” who is amidst the kind of struggle he knows. He is now sharing his stories with the world (recently featured in People Magazine and the Dr. Oz Show). Hope has always been a theme of his music, and now, that level of hope takes on a whole new dimension.

Currently Scott resides in Boca Raton, FL with his wife, Jaclyn, and their three children.
